Baton flags:
----------------------------------------------
If you are already using baton flags, God bless you.  If you are considering them, make sure you use a pair before you invest in the baton sticks.  They are HEAVY.  We bought several pair that went into the closet after a few uses.    The weight makes the batons difficult to control and use gracefully for worship movements. It also increases the risk of really hurting someone with your flags.

I have seen the baton flags used to great effect by youth teams, performing  sychronized, military-style routines.  If you are already committed to these flags, I can make any stlyle flag on a replacement swivel sleeve so you don't have to buy a new shaft..

You can order the baton flag shafts from Starline Baton Company's
online catalogue.    Their price is $17.00, plus shipping and handling.
Teardrop variation (Tidal Wave):
----------------------------------------------
A blue lame' wave rises from the pole side of the flag, and sweeps along the curved outside edge of the flag.  The rippling motion is very evocative of water. The wave can also be made in gold mesh to represent the wave of glory.

The Lord showed me the tidal wave as the culmination of the River of God.  The river flows to the ocean, and on the ocean, a wave is rising that will cleanse the land.  This image is what I see when the Word speaks of God's glory being "poured out."  "And the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord will cover the earth as the waters cover the sea." (Habakuk 2:14).  Bill Blount has shared a wonderful vision of the end-time waves.  Click here to read it.
Lightning: ("fire from heaven")
----------------------------------------------
~White warfare fabric or sparkle organza background with a gold lame' lightning bolt.  This flag speaks to me of Elijah on Mt. Carmel, and the awesome right-now, miraculous power of God that answered his prayers.

~Medium blue warfare fabric or sparkle organza with silver lame' ligtning bolt. This has more the flavor of piercing the darkness, revelation of things hidden, and the truth overcoming lies.

I recently came accross an enlightening article on the allegorical significance of lightning.  Click here to read it.

God has chosen the foolish things.
Styles
you are here
Basic:
----------------------------------------------
A solid flag of one piece of fabric.  This is the most common choice for a beginner.  Tissue lame' works well as a basic flag in any size.  Lame' comes in a dazzling array of colors, from pastels through vivid brights.   Gold and silver are always immediately available, while other colors may have to be special ordered on my end.  This constitutes a specialty fabric, which raises the price a little bit.  Special order fabrics can take up to a month extra, depending on my supplier.

These flags also work well in chiffon (soft, sheer, matte finish) and organza (crisp, sheer, and a bit sparkly).

Warfare:
----------------------------------------------
A basic style flag made with a lining-weight polyester fabric.  I use this material because it makes so much NOISE!  It is very gratifying to the warrior's heart to hear the voice of God's righteous judgement thundering out from your flag.  The personal size is most useful for all-around ministry because it allows you to make bold, even violent movements without hitting anyone with your flags.  We do, however,  have a full-sized flag (we call it "big red") that we bring out as the Lord leads for praise and worship or ministry time.

Warfare flags are usually red, but if something else is burning in your spirit, trust that.  My personal favorite is a large, lyrical in fuscia.  It speaks of the passion of the Lord for His Bride, and his protective power unleashed against anything that would dare touch the anointed of God.   The lyrical shape is very versatile, because   it easily doubles as a worship flag.

Teardrop ("Wind of the Spirit"):
----------------------------------------------
This shape is similar to a teardrop with the pointed end cut off.  Its movement in the air is very fluid and rippling, like wind, or a cloud, and it makes a sound like a mighty rushing wind.  The fabric is white warfare, with gold lame' bias tape around the perimeter.  This works best as a single flag.  It is very effective in "clearing the air" during intercession.
No handle:
----------------------------------------------
This style does not spin.  The fabric completely encloses the pole,  creating a different vocabulary of flag movements.  The flag must be used close to the body, and encourages more dance-style movements..   It is evocative of angel's wings and the hovering presence of Holy Spirit.
Arise, Shine!:
----------------------------------------------
A base of lame' that could be described as either a sunburst or crown shape, with the body in contrasting chiffon fabric.   This style speaks of the glory and grace of the Lord being poured out on the church, in different ways as different aspects of God are revealed to us and in us. The nature of the gift is expressed by the colors chosen.   Any color combination is possible, but some favorites are:

~ Gold and Purple.  This boldly declares our kingdom authority and dominion over all the works of the enemy.  I call it "On earth, as it is in heaven."
~ Gold and Red. An old favorite we call "The blood and the glory."  It can double as fire.
~Pink and Pink.  A very powerful expression of the Father's heart of love.  Perfect love casts out all fear.  Pink is power.
~Silver and blue.  The throne of God, His righteous judgement, divine intervention by the Glory.  Doubles as Shekinah fire.
~Gold and White.  The beaury of holiness; His, and ours by imputation.
~Gold and Green.  Prosperity, God-style.  New beginnings, Mercy.
~Green and Pink.  Healing, beginning with the emotional roots.
~Red and Red.  Nothing but the blood of Jesus!
~Red and White.  Redemption and purification

Fire:
----------------------------------------------
Fire is an extremely versatile intercession and warfare flag.   Aren't we all walking through the fire of God's testing?  This speaks of submitting to the process of purification, and inviting the power of Holy Spirit to come and remove the "I" from me.   This is the fire that burns off the ropes with which we were bound, but leaves us not even smelling of smoke.  This is a rectangular flag with an appliqued, two-color flame.  The colors will vary depending on what you want to express, and fabric availability.
Descending as a Dove:
----------------------------------------------
This series of flags features the classic representation of Holy Spirit as a descending dove.  I have made these flags in a variety of color combinations, some on a solid background, to show the Spirit coming in a particular manifestation, and some that picture the dove moving from darkness to light as an emblem of revival.  If this image pricks your spirit, we can seek the Lord for the proper expression.

The Leaves of the Trees: (Healing)
----------------------------------------------
A green lame' leaf figure on a silver lame' base with silver pole and silver glitter fabric paint veins.   Also available in rich green silk-like fabric on white warfare base with gold glitter fabric paint veins.

This speaks of freshness, new life, vigor and starting over, as well as the scriptural promise that "the leaves of the trees are for the healing of the nations" (Revelation  22:2).   This flag declares not only our own healing, but the salvation and spiritual healing of the lost.
The Spirit and the Bride:
----------------------------------------------
Irridescent, transparent lame' makes up the body of this flag.  The look is rather like a soap bubble, with overtones of green and bronze. It is longer than standard, what I call the lyrical shape, which makes it an excellent single flag.  This flag speaks of Holy Spirit quickening our human spirits in response to the presence of God.
Baton flags:

If you are already using baton flags, God bless you.  If you are considering them, make sure you use a pair before you invest in the baton sticks.  They are HEAVY.  We bought several pair that went into the closet after a few uses.    The weight makes the batons difficult to control and use gracefully for worship movements. Prophetic Design:
----------------------------------------------
Many of the flags on these pages came about as the result of seeking the Lord on someone's behalf.  If there is an image in your spirit, or an idea you want to express, contact me.  I would love to see what Holy Spirit has in mind for you!  Also, please remember that if you find an extraordinary fabric in a local store, I will make it into flags for you.  Some of my favorite flags have been one-of-a-kind products of a special trip to the fabric store.  It would be just like the Lord to lead you to a special fabric so that your personal flag can never be duplicated, but is a personal gift from the Spirit.
One nation, under God
----------------------------------------------
The Lord gave me this flag as a symbol of His intended destiny for our nation, to be a true light of revival in the world, united by our single focus on Him.  It is a flag for intercessors who will stand in the gap  for our nation.  The flag is divided into two vertical recangles, one blue lame', the other red lame'.  A single white star is in the center, made from the original Betsy Ross pattern.  She found a way to make many folds, but only one cut which produces a perfectly balanced five-point star.
The Weapons of our Warfare:
----------------------------------------------
This flag is a lot of fun, and people immediately understand the message.  A base of camouflage netting fabric with a leading edge of red warfare fabric.  This has been a nice flag for men and young boys.  They can stop worrying about whether worship is "manly" and enter into His presence.  "The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God..."  There is power in the Blood!
